Lion's Mane Mushroom (fruiting body extract)

A medicinal mushroom studied for memory, focus, and nerve health.

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a culinary and medicinal mushroom used for centuries in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. Modern research focuses on its ability to support nerve growth factor (NGF) — a protein critical to the maintenance of neurons.

What it is

The fruiting body of Lion's Mane contains hericenones and erinacines — the active compounds responsible for its cognitive effects. We use a 100% fruiting body extract, not mycelium grown on grain (which is mostly starch and contains very little of the active compounds).

How it works

Lion's Mane compounds appear to stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) synthesis, supporting the growth and maintenance of neurons. Clinical studies have linked daily supplementation to improved cognitive function in adults with mild cognitive complaints.

Studied dose

500–3,000 mg/day of fruiting body extract
